Are either items listed in programs and features?

Where do you end up if you right click on the icons, then right click and choose properties, then open file location?

The icons will disappear if the programs are uninstalled. Use Revo Uninstaller to remove all traces of the program. Reboot and the icons will be gone!

In terms of stopping an icon automatically pinning itself to all users with the program installed, I am not sure how to do this without a clean install. I'm sorry

    Stephen,

Getting rid of the icons for a specific user can be done by just right-click on an icon and select Unpin this program from taskbar. The icons are gone for this user. However, the next added user to this PC will get the icons.

I use Revo Uninstaller. It's a great program. However, these programs do not show up in Control Panel or Revo Uninstaller.

I may be on to something with one of the icons. The one I call the most offensive, the Lenovo App Shop. I followed the shortcut properties back to a folder called SWTOOLS. There I found a sub folder called Lenovo App Shop. I have deleted this folder. The other icon I was not so lucky because there were multiple selections.

Were any of the selections "dsltttp32.exe" ?

Looking at Lenovo's website for device experience I found this,

    Device Experience for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad

Instead of just deleting it first you can try renaming it, and see if that is indeed what you are looking for.

Have you confirmed the other one is gone for all users yet?
