Go into sleep mode or shutdown?

    How do i wake a computer by mouse? I cannot find the option to enable it.

    When you put the computer to sleep, all you should have to do is move the mouse and the computer wakes up.

    After a fresh install of Windows 7 I didn't have to enable anything for that to happen.

    This time i cannot wake but moving or clicking my mouse. I wonder where can i find the setting?

    I do not have the Power Management tab. I can't wake my computer by clicking on mouse or keyboard. What should i do?

    There are few steps to get to it.
    Click on Control panel => [view in small/large icons] click on mouse => [when the mouse property appear] Click on hardware => choose HID-compliant cordless mouse => Click on Properties => Click change setting => Click on power management. You can see the picture given by Shawn

    There is no power management tab at all. Is there any other way to turn it off? My mouse is s PS/2 mouse by the way.

    Which mode is better S1 or S3? And howcome for S1 the fan is still spinning is this normal?

    I think the fan might stay on because there is still heat being generated even though it's less heat.

    As for S1 or S2 I don't have an answer to that. Try it each way and see how it works.

    Sometimes you have to try different settings to see what works best for you.
