    insert boot disk press any key - HELP


    Hello all!!!

    I just installed new evga z97 classified motherboard with windows 7. When I power on my pc a black screen comes on and says, insert boot disk... select any key. Does anyone know a fix? I can't find one online and could this be due to a faulty motherboard??

    Did you check the the bios for boot order and boot devices?

I pulled the side pannel off my comp last night to clean the dust off side fans. I somehow accidently unplugged the main hard drive SATA cable. Without knowing I tried to start my computer up and of course got an error message. I plugged the HDD back in thinking it should boot up fine this time....
