Windows 7: What is pqservice?

As the title says, and also what can i do with it or how can it prove useful?
It is currently turned off.

PQSERVICE is a hidden restore partition.

So i can use it to restore my computer how far back?

The restore partition allows you to restore your computer to the original, out of box experience when you bought it.

Wow so if i turn this partition on i can factory reset it? I don't have to use the oem software?

Yes. However, very often the restore partition has all of the crapware/bloatware that came with the computer. You can avoid that if you were also given an OEM copy of Windows 7 - installing that way means no crapware.

Awesome, i will use an partition manage and find the preload programs anddelete them. This is helpful because last time i fresh installed windows using an iso mounter then i had no drivers and had to download them from another pc

Research and download the drivers before you install Windows. You won't be able to delete the preloaded applications that way. At least I've never heard of anyone having success doing it.

Well i was able to access the partition using som program i recently found called minitool partition wizard. Although just to play safe i wont delete the files. This is great considering my oem software to restore got deleted when i installed a fresh windows. Question does the pqservice also have the drivers because i never again want to have to hunt all those down and receive bluescreens so much because of missing drivers
