Win7 RAID drive access from dual boot XP?

I have set up a dual boot- Windows 7 pro & XP ultimate, both on separate SSD's, all OK. I also have two 3TB HDD's set up under windows 7 RAID, all OK. In XP under drive management the RAID drives show up twice, once as 775GB unused drives with no drive letter allocated and also as 2.7GB RAID drives with status 'failed', drives marked as 'missing'. Is there a way I can get the RAID drive accessible under XP?
Thanks

Is that a software Windows 7 RAID, or do you have a hardware RAID controller?

Windows 7 software RAID. I have Intel hardware RAID onboard but it insists that both drives be formatted at setup, I dont want to buy another 3TB HDD just to set up the 2 I have

That's the problem with software RAID - not being able to share the RAID between operating systems that dual boot. I think you're just plain stuck.

Personally, I'd run XP in a VM - that way you have access to the software RAID drive.

OK, I've setup XP in a virtual machine on 7, how do I access my Windows 7 software RAID disk from the virtual XP machine, do I add it from 'Virtual Machine Settings' - 'Add Physical Disk'? Both the disks in the RAID mirror show up there but do I add one, either or both?
Thanks

To access the drive, you need to enable integration settings. Once you do that, you will have access to all of the drives on your computer.
