    Because anything that CAN be fixed will be fixed by the third pass. I'm a solid believer in sfc/ scannow, good advice.

    Thank you. The author of the Tutorial I posted was authored by Brink, that makes it safe. I choose when to recommend it. Running sfc /scannow three times can't hurt your computer. Sometimes for whatever reasons Windows System File Checker needs that many times to repair things if it can. Sometimes when fixing problems and removing bad things system files get mess up.
