    WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER icon everywhere on my computer


    Hello Guys,
    i use a Sony vaio laptop, home premium (windows 7 ) bit 32.

    i downloaded a program that seem to have harmed my computer.i have WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER icons all over my computer and it blocks almost everything i tried to do on my computer , it has rendered my computer almost unusable.
    Please I will really appreciate any help. Thanks

    Have you got an up to date anti virus software installed?
    Download and run the free version of Malwarebytes from here:
    Malwarebytes
    What was the Program you downloaded and where did you download it from?

    i dont have any antivirus program installed, i was trying to download airodump wizard.

    the windows media center always block any program i try to instal

    I have Googled airodump wizard and get led to a wireless security key hacking site. Is this what you were trying to download?

    Download a trusted antivirus software.Don't know who doesn't these days.
    As for a system restore, Control Panel>(View by Icons) Recovery>Open System Restore. You'll have to have set up a recent restore point though.
