    How to fix/undone the "Open With....."?


    So i openend this file my friend send me tru skype and i "Check" the "Always use this program as default to open...." and used Windows Media Player. So now the thing is that i have Windows Media Player trying to open every single app i have on my pc, how could this be undone and fixed? I tried default programs but nothing, im running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

    Hello Alex, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You could download and merge the listed lnk (LNK) and exe options in the tutorial below to restore the default associations for these file extensions and hopefully fix this for you. :)

safe to assume its impossible to remove the "open" and the "merge" entries from the context menu? I figure if i want to open or merge them i would simply double click. Clutter and redundency in this vein dont suit me :P

Hello there, when the desktop loads up, I get this strange message: "Open With: Choose the program you want to use to open this file: File: Media" http://i54.tinypic.com/6rtxlu.jpg
Using Word 2007, I am unable to pin the "New" and "Open" Word Document to the Start Menu. I was able to do this in XP and Vista. I go to "All Programs" and can load Word but cannot find the options new/open. In Word I go to "Word Options" and it is not listed there either. Thanks.
