    Batch file related problem,Pls help

    Hi,
I have downloaded db-derby database and unzipped it to my computer's C drive. To start the service I need to run startNetworkServer.bat file (windows batch file). But it did not run so I am unable to proceed further.

Please let me know the solution for the same ASAP.I have tried to run it giving a Administrator privilege also but not running.

Open and Elevated Command Prompt, change to the folder the startNetworkServer.bat is in then run it. See what error message is given and post it here.

Also, if it's a reasonably small file, post it' s contents here as well. Never mind, I downloaded and unzipped it.

Have you followed the directions in the Getting Started Guide for Setting up the envoironment?

    Hi,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

You don't seem to have Java installed in your system or if it is installed, it is not in the PATH.

You can download the Java Runtime Environment at the Oracle site

Sorry but you didn't answer my question: Have you followed the directions in the Getting Started Guide for Setting up the envoironment?

Browse to wherever you unzipped the program and double click on index.html and follow the setup instructions.
