    Actually, it is important to know what you've installed. You might not have any hardware issues - this might all be due to software problems.

    Have you checked to make sure your SSD has the latest firmware? It might be prudent to look at the OCZ forums to see if anyone else is having freezing problems with that SSD. I'm not a big fan of OCZ because of their higher than normal failure rates, so I don't have any experience with them, their firmware, or their particular issues.

    Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which show how to establish a clean boot, read the logs for repeat errors, and use System Resources to find solutions.

    Drivers are handled differently in Win7 than in XP. You should use the drivers given in the installer and quickly updated via optional Updates unless there are performance issues with those.
