Recent Items List - Right Click Problem

    Hi all,

I have a strange problem on my computer. When I right click on Start Menu/Recent Items menu item, windows crashes giving an error of "windows stopped working". I am not able to right click on this folder. On any other folder, right click is working well. So what can be the problem:)

    Best regards.

Looks like you had a similar problem way back in 2010! What A/V are you running and have you the same malware software you had in 2010?

Actually this problem appeared yesterday. I have two computers having the same OS, the same AV (Avira Antivir) and the same anti-malware (Emsisoft) program. The other one has not this problem.

I tried to delete the recent items folder and restoring it but not worked. Somehow, I created a recent items folder by myself but this time "clear recent items" menu item disappeared. But, I could able to right click in this case!! Strange...

If you couldn't delete the recent items folder how come you then created a new one? How many have you got?

I am able to delete that file. Anyway, I do not think that I will be able to find a solution...

Then do a system restore to a point behind when this problem arose!
