Somehow the BIOS date in Computerinfo.txt doesn't change even though I've updated my BIOS to 218 revision

your d: is too cramped. Take the page file off of there. Run Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe).
Run CCleaner (link in my sig).

That will make some headroom but not much. You should really consider offloading to an external drive the files there that you don't really need for instant access.

I will investigate the bios date situation. When you get a chance, perform a complete shutdown, then startup your computer and run the script again. You won't need to post, but check to see if now the bios info is current.

the computerinfo show you, and the mgadiag as having:
COMPUTER SYSTEM Manufacturer : ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
    COMPUTER SYSTEM Model : K42JK

Your specs say A42JK. You might want to correct the typo in your sytem specs

Well, AFAIK the motherboard is K42JK but the Notebook model sticker stated it's A42JK in A42J series

If you see in the ASUS Support site A42JK and K42JK have exact same BIOS

yes, we had an interesting discussion on this very point in another area and one of the chaps has an asus with the same naming anomoly. The "k" number is the one that ASUS uses. The A seems to be used by retailers.

The computerinfo.txt correctly reports the model.
If you've got speccy installed and/or SIW installed, I'd be interested in what they report. Links for both of those in my signature.

Also if you run MSINFO32.EXE, what does that program show?

Anyway, here in a second I'll concentrate on your problem.

    Interesting MGADiag report.
All the report hangs together nicely - but.....
I would only expect such a report if the system had been installed either from the Recovery partition, or from the manufaturer's Recovery media.
If there is no COA sticker on the case, orr in the battery comparment, then it is a counterfeit install held together by a hacker's Activation Exploit.

The Disk Management output shows clearly that this is not the result of either the manufacturer's initial image, or anyting produced by a Recovery from the (non-existent) Recovery partition.

    Here the reports
For the SIW, I use the free edition and rar-ed the report since it can't produce txt report and this site doesn't allow uploading of html files

files were not really needed. I just was interested in what the three found regarding your model. Did they show the A or the K?

    Thanks Noel.

That rather confirms my gut feeling.
