No Sleep,No Screensaver-PCI/ASPM disabled due to Known Incompatibility

My screensaver won't work, none of my power settings work (to dim/turn off/put comp to sleep)

- i've checked everything i can find online, nothing helps me solve this.
bought brand new ASUS G75 about 6 wks ago. Screensaver & rest worked fine for a few weeks, then mysteriously stopped. (it might have been after last Microsoft Update)
unplugged *everything* possible (including ext monitor), did a Clean Reboot, etc etc- nothing's helped.

** Interesting: on booting, *before* i input my password, the DIMMING & Blacking Out of screen DO work. but they Won't work after i use my passy to turn everything on.

- Power Diagnostics Report is below, if anyone has any clues what it means.

Platform Power Management Capabilities:Supported Sleep States
Sleep states allow the computer to enter low-power modes after a period of inactivity. The S3 sleep state is the default sleep state for Windows platforms. The S3 sleep state consumes only enough power to preserve memory contents and allow the computer to resume working quickly. Very few platforms support the S1 or S2 Sleep states.
