Win 7 64-bit stuck at "Starting Windows", no safe mode.

    Hi,
My HP Pavillion G6 laptop recently had a hard disk (I think) error and I was forced to use a clean install to keep on using my computer. After the clean install, everything seems to be working fine and for a week or so there have been no problems whatsoever. Just this afternoon,my computer failed to start, it was stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen. Safe mode refused to work either, stuck at the loading drivers screen. I have not changed my computer in any way before.
I tried to use startup repair and it went on FOREVER. LKGC failed too. I am currently contemplating another minimized image recovery, but i fear that my HD has failed.
I am most confused as to why there were no warning signs after my clean install, computer ran just like when i first bought it. This is a very sudden event.
    Any help would be appreciated!

I too think your HDD is the main source of the problem,I would probably get another HDD and install windows on that and test it for the same time this one lasted before it failed on the re-install to see if it's a hd problem or not.If you have a spare HD I would test it on that pc and see if it loads faster or has the same problem.
