    How do I restart my computer


    Once the computer is started, gets to this window and stays on this page,
    I have tried the options after restarting the computer to no avail, and would appreciate any help you may be able to give me



    IDE channel 0 . Slave Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability .........Disabled


    Verifying DMI pool data...............

    CBPKS is compressed
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

    Hello Jon, and welcome to Sevenforums.


    Hopefully a few tutorials can help solve your problem. Please do each consecutive tutorial until either you run out of tutorials or you can finally boot up:
    1. Startup Repair - by Brink
    2. System Restore :Use option 2 towards the bottom, restore to a point before this mess happened - by Brink
    3. SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot - by Bare Foot Kid
    4. Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery - by Dzomlija

    SOLVED: Win 7 Error - 'some file' is compressed. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL

    I would like to thank Dusk Sailor - Sir George for their help with restoring my computer
    The only reason it took so long is I am a geek or electronically challenged when it come to problems with computers.
    Using the links, I'm not sure which one of Brinks it was but A Big Thanks


    After numerous tries of all the solutions provided I was eventually able to get the computer to diagnosis and fix the above problem. Five Star Service:

    Well thanks for the reply s to"How do I restart my computer" I have found the real problem, Which is a program named Deep Freeze, yes after chatting with my son, he has no idea of the password for this program.
    My problem now is can I install win7 ? or any Ideas on getting rid of Deep Freeze???

    How you can uninstall Deep Freeze
    Read all of the tutorial before deciding you can't do it.

    If you can't, then consider a clean install. I'd wait for some more advice before jumping the gun on this one, but if it isn't any trouble, you might as well go ahead with it:
    Clean Install Windows 7
