Ethics question (best practice with candidates)

I have office installed in my laptop and my {old} main machine. This machine is running 7100 and will probably get a clean install once I get the retail Win7.

Since I have Office already on the two machines legally, is it OK if I install it on this machine to experiment, or since I maxed the legal copies that is a no no.

    Thanks.

The answer to your question requires a question ... Are you an ethical person?....

    Hi HRM,

    Which version of Office?

    Have a look here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...103171033.aspx

I think you answered your own question. You say legally you can have two. if you install another that makes three.
    What do you think. 1 + 1 = 2 +1 makes.

Well, I always use the Spirit of the license in these situations.

If it just for testing, go right ahead.

If you are making money with three separate computers you should have three licenses. If you are one person and you have three computers, how many word documents can you edit at once...

Well you are allowed two installed with one license (one laptop) according to the TOS. The beta thing is what is complicating it. Testing is just testing as this machine has nothing important on it until I get the retail version. I may have new drives by then and would just start fresh.

maybe I will just try the free version of 2007....that solves that...

Try Microsoft Office 2007 - Download Microsoft Office Software
