    System Recovery Error Message


    I can not get past the System Recovery Error Message screen. I have tried F8 and then safe mode, restore to an earlier point, repair and all to no avail????

    I will check that, but I think I already have and I think it said that I needed a recovery disc which I don't have. I need a quick fix, my husbands laptop is slow!!!!!!

    Is there any one else who has had this problem and can help??? I have a Dell Inspirion operating on Windows 7 64 bit. Dell says my warranty has expired so I can't get any help or answers without paying them????

    Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

    They lead up to if necessary rescuing your files to run Factory Recovery or Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

    For best performance I would Clean Reinstall. If not and it repairs then at the minimum Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

    If you concentrate on getting and maintaining a perfect Clean Reinstall now then you will benefit from it permanently.

    It looks like I have to be on the affected computer to use this-I am on my husbands laptop-can't get past that screen.

    Dells provide a Clean Copy Reinstallation DVD for Recovery Media so if you can't or don't want to run Recovery you can clean reinstall with little problem - using the installer provided in tutorial.
