Win 7 64bit, network and battery options revert to default on startup

i have a 7 series samsung laptop, I can make my own "custom" power plan, or even set it on balanced or anything, and when i shut computer down(doing it properly), and start it up, the power plan is back on "Samsung Eco Mode". I'm not sure if THIS eco mode is what is then turning off the network card, but also when i start, the internet is connected for about 5 seconds, then disconnected....adding another piece to the puzzle there is a program installed from the factory called "Easy Settings" and when i open that, network card is in "off" position, i turn it on and instantly have internet again. This easy settings program is on my list of programs i can uninstall, but im not sure if its whats reverting settings or not, getting to be verrry annoyed with opening 6 menus everytime i start-up to get everything the way i want it again.
Thanks ahead of time for responses!!
actually also i have heard these samsung laptops come w.lots of fluff programs that arent needed, if anyone knows MORE of these i can uninstall thatd be amazing.

sorry if this isnt in the right topic it involves so many different things wasnt sure where to pick ><

Hello kgaster25 and Welcome to SevenForums,

I also have a Samsung laptop (RV511), but I've not experienced any of the problems you are having. I also don't have a few of the programs you have listed...mainly the "Easy Settings". If you have the Intel HD Graphics, open that up and in there, there is a power settings opiton as well. On mine there is a setting for "on battery" and "plugged in". I have mine set to "balanced" to conserve battery power.

Just having a quick look on samsungs website, there are quite a few series 7 laptops listed...what is the exact make and model of your laptop? With this I can locate your laptop and check for driver updates and software/firmware updates.

    also is listed NP700Z5B-S01UB
and i dont think i have the intel hd graphics your talking about i could be but i have a feeling if i found it that would be changed back at startup too, i have set on mine, for battery and on plug to never dim never sleep blah blah, but the problem is it all changes by itsself >< and i can even deal w.the power plan changing on start up but the network card being disabled is a pain

thank you very much for your quick replies, you have shown me some info i didnt know existed. You mentioned, " Samsung Update Plus app", i have looked through the link you provided and found lots of good downloads, but didnt see anything by that name, the program i mentioned before "easy settings" i also found a download for that....so i removed it from my pc, knowing now that if i do need it i can d/l it again, and my problems are gone, computer boots up and network card never gets disabled! *grumbles*silly program causing all this fuss**
You have indirectly solved my issue! Thanks again.
