    0 MB GPT Protective Partition

In the Disk Management, I have an extra 0 MB GPT Protective Partition.
    Is that normal?

Do you currently have an external drive connected?

The only place I've seen this popping up is with external drives that have been used on a mac and pc both.
I could all be cleaned up with diskpart but that would mean deleting the data on the drive.

I have external drives that is being connected to both operating systems, but they are not connected at the moment (but was connected and haven't rebooted after I disconnected them).
So, even if those drives are not connected, this can come up?

restarting would be the only way to sort that. I don't have the proper conditions here to replicate the problem right now.

    No, thank you.
You made me understand that what could this partition be. Because it wasn't showing anywhere in the disk management, therefore your explanation quite makes sense because I use my external drives on different operating systems.
Thank you for the explanation again.
