Custom menu folder, display order
I create a folder of shortcuts to key items, and add it as a toolbar on the taskbar, and reduce the width so you get just the folder name and >> pointer.
I can then click on it, and get my list of items popping upwards, in much the old xp menu fashion..and have sub-folders that have arrows beside and open up.
My question relates to sort order. Windows 7 recognizes it as a 'menu' folder, and allows me to drag the items into a different order.
In my last Windows 7 install, I managed to make it so the manual order was remembered - but have no idea how I did it. I had to have a new Windows 7 install, and on that the order is lost once I logoff.
Anyone know how I can stop it re-sorting to alphabetical when I log back in? I am not a techy, so would not have fiddled with registry settings or something like that before, but may have moved the folder from start menu to task bar or something like that...
It is clearly possible, since I had done it before!
