    Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. WIFI problems.


    Hello, I am posting this thread to explain my problem. I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and a graphics card "Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti". Everytime when I start up my computer the computer screen lags and then windows gives me a message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". I have realized that this only happens when I connect to a wifi network. I have searched the web if anyone else had a problem like this but it was no good and I started this thread. Thankyou for reading this and I'm hoping to see an answer to this.

    I went into event viewer and found this "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

    I could be wrong but my PC does that sometimes .it you be the lack of power getting to your USB. I usually minimize what I have connected via USB and the problem went away .how many screens do you have total

    Ive got two but only use one, but it didnt only happen with usb, even with my wifi pci.

    OK when you have to ma y things plugged up via USB your computer has to run all those drivers at once and if your computer can't keep up the drivers sometime fails like you said. Also if you use a extender without an repeater the signal can get lost in the cable. Is this a desktop setup or laptop

    You shouldn't have any issues with your computer not being able to run your drivers . My best guess is try new USB cables maybe someone else can chime in aNd get you move help

Okay, I've tried everything to fix this issue. I can replicate the issue by opening a store page for a game on Steam. It will freeze up when trying to load the store video and then blackscreen for a second and give that error. I've reinstalled steam and it still happens. It just started recently...

For people having the "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered" problem and the following Kernal-Power BSOD, try using a VGA cable to connect your monitor to the graphics card instead of a DVI cable. This worked for me for some reason, and I had no problems for over a week. ...
I have just installed windows 7 on my pc (a clean install from xp) my pc and hardware was running fine on xp but since I upgraded to win 7 I keep getting a “Display driver stopped responding and has recovered” warning pop up, its really bad its happens 50 something times in the last few hours!!!...
