    Boot Up Issue (Need Help!)

Sooo I'm having an issue after moving my hardware to a new case, and installing my new SSD, and HDD.
basically the computer is attempting to start, all the fans turn on, CPU fan and all and then it shuts off, and tries to start again. After repeating that a couple of times, it will eventually boot to Windows without issues. While other times it decides to sit on a boot screen and give me the "Overclocking failed!" error, yet I haven't attempted to overclock on these BIOs - I've tried resetting everything to default but it still will give me the error.

The video shows what's going on (Along with some other mindless nonsense)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    -Rob

    Iamoctane,

Check your standoffs for the mobo.

sounds like you could have a short somewhere.

If you are using metal screws, washers, standoffs, then make sure they are not making unwanted contact.

You should always use insulating washers.

Disconnect everything except for the monitor and the boot disk.

Check over your work very carefully.

    Oh gosh...
I just realized I don't have 3 of the standoffs on the HDD end of the mobo connected... -.-
Going to adjust those and see what happens.

After re-evaluation, it seems as if my Motherboard only uses 6 of the standoffs...
I used only the screws for the standoffs that were included with the case - So I would assume they are the right type :x

    Anything else to check?

A test is to disonnect everything.

    remove the board.

Place the board on a piece of cardboard or on a wooden surface.

Connect up only the bare minimum.

Now is the boot problem gone?
