Windows 7: windows explorer problems

I have my OS, & program files on an Intel SSD, with the data on my "D" raid1 drive. After I tried to change my opening folder (My Documents) in Explorer, I found that I had created a new empty "My Docs" folder, which I deleted. I'm not sure where I went to after that, but now I find that I can not access, "Explorer", "My Computer" "Recycle" etc. or any files that are on the D: (data drive).

I did try to restore twice, both claimed success, but I guess the restore is limited to just the "C" system drive. Is there any way that I can get back to where I was without having to do a repair install?
