    What is this "error" I get after start up?

    What it looks to me is that there is something in the startup folder that is running a cmd function.

    I can't read the text in the dos window. Can you copy it and post here?

    Looks like your startup folder has some program that runs at start. Can you check out the startup folder?
    and the msconfig startup tab?

    run the msconfig as administrator..

Using Word 2007, I am unable to pin the "New" and "Open" Word Document to the Start Menu. I was able to do this in XP and Vista. I go to "All Programs" and can load Word but cannot find the options new/open. In Word I go to "Word Options" and it is not listed there either. Thanks.
Hi. Start menu -> I can only see shut down, or sleep, depending on how it's configured, but to access other power options I have to click on the small white arrow to the right of the power button. So if the default setting of the big button is shutdown then it's a hassle to choose sleep because...
