    Buggy screensaver - Doesn't lock

I can't figure out what's wrong with the screensaver settings. I've got it set to come on after 10 minutes, and I checked the box to display the lock screen or whatever it is where you enter your password to log into Windows...but it doesn't work right.
During the day, if I walk away from the computer, when I come back, the screensaver will be running and when I move the mouse to wake it up, it shows the lock screen like it's supposed to do... But at night after I've left work, I have no idea what it's doing... When I come in in the morning, I move the mouse and voila, already on my desktop...no screensaver, no lockscreen...just my desktop staring me in the face.
This is really irritating me because I have sensitive materials in my files, so I need to make sure this thing locks up when it's supposed to... We have a night shift working here, so I can't have this thing wide open for them to get into.

I'm not sure what the deal is--if it's a bug or if I did something wrong. The only difference between day and night is during the day I leave my monitor on, but when I go home at night I click the power button off. I'm "assuming" that even with the monitor powered down, the pc will still wait 10 minutes and then launch the screensaver/lockscreen--but I'm not sure if that's the case. Like I say, I have no problems during the day when the monitor's on.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments? They just upgraded me to 7 and I'm not happy with it at all--all kinds of buggy stuff it does that irks me...But this is the biggest complaint I have.

    TY

Hello b.b.7, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm not sure why it works during the day and not from over night when resuming from the screen saver.

Here are a couple of things to double check:
    Hope this helps,

    Thanks :)

Hey, thanks Shawn...I use the lock command before I leave at night, and it works like a charm :)
That other stuff is checked too--ss password protect, and required password on resume/wakeup... Can't figure out what the bug is, but as long as I can lock it myself I'm gold..
    Thanks again
