Need help with a dual monitor setup I have a friend I am trying to setup a dual monitor setup for, and while I got it setup for the most part there is a could quirky things I cannot figure out.
His setup is an HP desktop computer with a Nvidia card with both VGA and DVI outputs. His primary monitor (DVI) is setup in landscape while his new secondary monitor (vga) is setup landscape. The desktop is setup as extended.
His goal is to run 1 application on the secondary monitor all the time, which is a Schwab investment program and use the primary monitor for everything else. So before I setup the secondary monitor, he would have the Schwab program opened up maximized to the now primary monitor, so when you maximize it on the new secondary monitor, it is displaying as if it is being viewed on the portrait orientation. So then you have to start it on the primary monitor, resize it and drag it to the secondary monitor.
My question is, is there any way to change the way this application is opening so he can just click maximize and have it fill the secondary landscaped monitor? | My System Specs |

Does the app open up full screen on the primary or does it do the same? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage

On the primary it will open up maximized and fill the screen since it is setup in portrait and that is what the application is used to I guess. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit |

Ok, you said both were landscape in the first post.
There are a few multi monitor apps you can try, Ultramon, display fusion, and some others.
There are settings in the apps to control where a program starts.
I would give them a shot. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage
