    Strange noise

    Hi,

For the last week now my computer has been making a humming sounds that progressively gets louder. The strange thing is if I press my hand firmly on the side of the case the humming stops for a short time. Any ideas as to why this would happen?

Will give any specs if needed.

    Thank you,

I would assume that it's your cooling fan working a little too hard. But, it could also be several other things, so yeah, please post your specs.

It might as simple as taking the case cover off and finding that a screw has come out of something that moves and it is vibrating. See if you can find out what is making the sound.
