    Default folder structure

I was curious to know if in XP pro and 7 pro are allowed to set the default folder structure. Its more of a pet peeve really but I always like to view my folder structure to details and sometimes if i create a folder and drop images it will make a filmstrip or if I place files in a new folder it will create tiles.

Open up you default folder for me i got a partition for my documents
right click on that folder and select "customise this folder" (you can also do this from View> Customise this folder )
make sure your on "Customise " tab and "what kind of folder do you want?"
click the option "optimise this folder for: " and select general or something
Tick the option "Also apply this template fo all sub folders"
and click apply (if the button is greyed out select a different option like documents then
flick back to general or what you had previously selected and it will be available)

then simply click the view type you wish "Titles, Large icons or Details" and all folders and sub folders will now be viewed in same view type

    Hello graphicsman,

If you like, the tutorial below can help show you how to set and apply a default folder view to all folders. :)
