Windows 7 Task Manager not Working

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Intel Core i3, 2.93GHz with 6 GB of RAM on a Gateway SX2840. Task Manager is not working on my PC. As soon as I open it, it says that there is a problem and it has to close. I have scanned the computer and it does not appear to be a virus- everything else works fine. I searched the web and have tried every "solution" that I have found online to no avail . I have included two screenshots in the hope that it might lend some clues. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Establish a Clean boot and work through these other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

If the logs, Solutions and tests do not reveal a cause or resolve the issue then move on to Repair Install or possible reinstall following the best practices and using only the same tools and methods recommended in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 - and nothing else if you want to keep a perfect install.

Windows 7 Task Manager not Working

I established a clean boot and went through most/all of the troubleshooting steps you mentioned and the problem is still present. I would like to narrow the issue down further before I attempt a Repair Install or a Clean Install. I have attached a copy of Event Viewer Error logs in the hope that it can help.
