32 bit command prompt running on a 64 bit version of windows

    32 bit command prompt running on a 64 bit version of windows


    Hi I'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit, but whenever a program uses command prompt it says system 32 i.e. Booting up. can you tell me why this is happening and can you help me fix it?

    oh OK thank you. do you know why that is? Also how come when i write cmd and command prompt i get 2 different things?

    I'm not really sure, is there a reason you don't have SP1 installed?

    not really i guess I'm waiting for my computer to restart with out my permission and install the updates.

    That's one way to do it, I guess.

    You could just give yourself 20 or 30 mins and get the updates out of the way.

    i will do that tomorrow as my comp froze and i had to hold down the power button(I'm going to make a thread about this as this is not the first time) BTW did they get rid of the symbol by restart button that tells you that you need to install updates
