Currently trying zone alarm but half the time I add something to the app blocker it auto deletes it, getting kinda annoyed with it, do I really need a firewall if my router has a NAT firewall built in? in reality all I need is something that can block certan programs from accessing the net, by letting me choose to do so when it tries to launch. Thanks all

Windows firewall "default settings" are not set for outbound connections. If you want to monitor them you will need to configure it yourself, see the following links;

I also use Windows 7 built in firewall.
Microsoft Windows 7 operating system with a Microsoft firewall and a Microsoft anti virus MSE works well together.
