    Explorer Not Sorting Folders Properly

I have 3 folders on my External HDD:
    08-03-2012,
    08-07-2012 and
    08-10-2012.

But, Explorer sorts them as follows:
    08-03-2012,
    08-10-2012 and
    08-07-2012

Any ideas how to get Explorer to sort properly??
    James

Is that the name of the folder, the creation date, or last modification date?

Put the listing in "detail" view. Post screenshot

Are you sure explorer is sorting them in alphabetical order and not date of last modification?

When I right click my External HDD in Explorer and select 'Sort by' Name and Ascending are selected. I'm assuming alphabetically is by name??

    Yeah that sounds right.

I just created these three folders and they sorted fine on my system. Have you tried renaming them to exactly the same thing again?

    I fell like a moron.
Actually all these folder have a prefix that i didn't put into my op.
    The prefix for all is
    "DataFiles"
But one I misspelled as "DateFiles"
    I just didn't notice it.

    Thanks,
    James
