Been having issues with my windows 7 ultimate, x64 system for the last few months. It sometimes happens when I plug external devices in such as USB keys or external hard-drives, or transfer files around my home network. Explorer.exe always crashes and it is caused by a few different windows .dll files. Not entirely sure what is wrong but I've done the Diag. tools which will be attached, plus I have a few separate dump files that have been recorded over the last 2-3 weeks which are zipped in a 2nd .rar file. Any help would be appreciated. Too many games and programs to re-download; with a limited monthly download cap reformatting isn't very appealing.
Thanks,
Matthew
Edit:
Checkdisk finds nothing, and I've also tried googling the error which some people assume can be caused by context menus. I've tried updating my graphics card driver but that didn't help.
The common files that fault and cause explorer.exe to crash are ntdll.dll and GDI32.dll, The majority of them were crashed by the ntdll.dll but the GDI32.dll failed a few times also.
Double Edit:
I've installed the shell extension viewer and disabled all non-microsoft extensions. I'll see if it fixes anything!
