    how do i reset/remove windows password


    what is the easiest way to remove/reset windows password, what i mean in easiet no long methods

    my os is: windows xp, windows 7

    Hello nfsworldpinoy,

    It depends on if you have access to the system or not, and can currently log in to your user accounts in both OS's.

    User Account Password - Remove

    The simplest way is to open a Command Prompt (elevated Command Prompt in Windows 7) and do the following:

    Type net user yourusername * and press Enter.

    You will be prompted for a password. Just press Enter twice and the password is gone.

    To change or add a password:

    Type net user yourusername newpassword and press Enter.

    Otherwise, do it via Control Panel, User Accounts.

    i cant do this cause im stuck at the login screen, so i cant open any programs like cmd

The HDD password was set by mistake in the Insydeh20 BIOS and i don't know what it is. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite laptop. This is a REGISTERED password on the HDD that was set using the BIOS. Can anyone Help?
