create a recovery disk beacause i think the recovery partition might not work after you install win 7 ...I encounterd that same situation back when I first installed build 7000 , the aprtition was intact but I couldn't get it to do it's job, to help reinstall vista
Didn't care that much to investigate if I could fix it ,beacause after all that specific partition was not modified in any way when I formated the partition with the factory vista. I erased it as windows 7 was better than that vista ...
So make a recovery disk...
and about the drivers ..vista drivers work just fine on 7
