Windows 7 ultimate X64

Depends on which version you are running, I noted that some Vista X64 drivers work fine, so long as you are using Win 7 X64. I would imagine the same would apply to 32 bit but I am not going to stake my life on it

Windows 7 build 7100 x86

as long as you dont delete the recovery partition, it will stay there. when you r installing windows 7, it will have options for where to install it. click advanced, and make sure to set it to just overwrite your old drive.

create a recovery disk beacause i think the recovery partition might not work after you install win 7 ...I encounterd that same situation back when I first installed build 7000 , the aprtition was intact but I couldn't get it to do it's job, to help reinstall vista
Didn't care that much to investigate if I could fix it ,beacause after all that specific partition was not modified in any way when I formated the partition with the factory vista. I erased it as windows 7 was better than that vista ...
So make a recovery disk...

and about the drivers drivers work just fine on 7
