Every Windows version has its own drivers.. I mean win8.1 drivers are different from win7 drivers.

Try Windows update inside Windows 7,
Maybe you are lucky and Os finds the right drivers.

Although you may find that some drivers are compatible with more than one version of Windows the majority are version dependent. where systems have not evolved between versions you may find that the operate at least basic functions. When considering the downgrade of an OS one of the most important things is research, you have to check that the drivers are available for the OS you intend installing. With a desktop where you will find a lot of generic components it's possible to find the drivers at the original component suppliers, but with laptops where the majority of components are specifically modified to fit the particular mix of hardware you need to ensure that the OS is supported my the laptop manufacture on the specific laptop model

Pippox but i can't perform windows update without an internet, even the realtek ethernet i have download wont work.

Batman uhm so you mean my laptop isn't supported? I guess you're right because as i go to manufacturers site to find drivers. There's no available for windows 7, just windows 8.1 and 10. Can i find alternative solution for this?

No that won`t work as you`ll wipe out 10.

You should have just upgraded 8.1 to 10 and learned to use 10, it`s just an OS an not hard to learn at all.

Now, unless you have 8.1 install media, you`ve possibly screwed yourself out of a perfectly good PC.

You should have checked for 7 drivers before installing 7.

Buy and install a wifi pen compatibile with windows7.
Then try Windows update or try to find the Ethernet driver from another pc.

Kim2312, what is the model number of your network card? You said it's a Realteik, right. I'm sure there is a Windows 7 driver available for it, just need to know the model.

If you don't know that, what is the full model number of the Acer laptop? Should be able to find the types of devices in it via the Acer web site then search for Windows 7 (or Vista as they almost always work on 7 too) drivers.
