Windows 7: Black Screens when editing video files

Black Screens when editing video files

I use an HD PVR to record footage from my 360 and it works great! But when I go to move a movie file down to the timeline using TotalMedia Showbiz (Or any video editing program even windows live does it) it MIGHT give me a black screen for like 3 seconds and kick back in. Once it happens once like that it could happen when I hit play on the video to see what it might look like in the editor or while the editing program is still up any type of media files like videos on youtube could give me a Black Screen when I hit play. (While the Editing program is still up) Once I close the program everything is fine and no more black screens from youtube. There are rare times when I start up my computer and I never see them. Anyone have any ideas what this could be from?

EDIT: Though on a side note I also experience adobe flashplayers crashes randomly if im on youtube thought they are rare I can get one a day. My video driver crashes randomly too and that can happen once a month.
