Stutter/freeze at midnight (00:00)

I'm not sure where to start digging down to fixing this issue. It's frustrating to say at least. I wouldn't mind, since it's a short freeze, but I don't want my system to quietly begin falling apart.

Try to clear the CMOS by unplugging the power cable from your system and removing the CMOS battery. Then, press and hold the power button while the system is unplugged to drain all power from the motherboard. Then, insert the CMOS battery and plug in your system. You will have to set the time and other BIOS settings back to the way you had them as clearing the CMOS clears out all BIOS settings.

Can it be somehow done with Factory Default settings or something on BIOS? The motherboard is Gigabyte Z77-D3H. Otherwise, it'd mean that I have to unscrew my big cooler Noctua to get to the battery, reapply the thermal paste... takes a while.

The factory reset in the BIOS will not do a reset of the time. Also, when you clear CMOS, the BIOS has to redetect the hardware again.
