Solved Can't clear history of Taskbar's Address Toolbar

erasing URL history bar. SOLUTION

Hello,
Thanks to Brink for his post. I want to report that the simple steps he suggested solved the probelm for me. I took screenshots of the steps for anyone they might help. This is a great Forum. Glad I found you guys.

This is held in the idex.dat files CCleaner will renove it.

http://www.ccleaner.com/download and run the Windows section and uncheck anything you want to keep/

Hi, don't know if you fixed your issue but go to your start menu, and then click on the computer tab. Then right click on the big address bar at the top of the window. then hit "delete history". this will remove all your search history from the small taskbar address bar.......Hope this helps...

Antman fixed my problem. =D

i went into my registry

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths]

deleted all the urls
rebooted and they were gone.

I'm having some "problems" with getting into the registry.
Every time I type "reg" and search for it, all it does is: It opens Command Prompt and then as soon as it appears, it closes it Immediately & disappears!!, NO MATTER WHAT I DO!!!
Am I doing something wrong? & If so, then can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong & how to "fix"/"solve" the problem?
How was this ("Technique") supposed to work? What are you supposed to do to make this work?
Do I just "Type 'reg' into the Search Box and Restart" to "clear" the Search History?
Or is there more to the "story" than just that?
Anyways, Please Help!
