Windows 7: 7600.16385 is the confirmed final RTM....

7600.16385 is the confirmed final RTM....

...apparently. I can see that I have 7600 but, just out of curiosity, how do I confirm that I have .16385?

where did you download it from? type winver in search

Run system information. Youl find it in accessories/system tools

Then in system summary youl see the version string labelled as hardware abstraction layer.

where did you download it from? type winver in search
winver doesnt give the complete string.

Right as rain. Mine only lists 7100 in hal but its probably 7100.0.0

To find this information, you need to look at the properties of one of the files that is installed with Windows, for example, Notepad. Open the Start Menu, browse for the shortcut and right-click on it. Click Properties and select the Shortcut tab, if not already selected. Click on Open File Location and then right-click on the highlighted file. Again, select Properties. Click the Details tab. The information you require can be found next to Product version.
