    Posting Beeps

Just curious about this. == My Pentium 4 I used to have would beep one time when it posted. My Core i3 does not beep at all. I just assumed that all of them would beep once or twice on posting. Should the Pentium not have been beeping?

1 beep is normal, but you won't hear it if you don't hook up a motherboard speaker. It usually plugs in near the front panel connectors. Some cases come with a speaker to attach, some don't.

That solves my little mystery. I have the i3 plugged into my sound card. I will have to put it in the MB and check it out. Thanks,
