Windows 7: Editing a song while playing in WMP

Hi all, how do I allow editing a song while it's playing in WMP, without getting this annoying message of "the action cannot be completed because the file is open in windows media player"?

I would like to add that it won;t let me update it even if the song is not currently playing, but is just on the list on the right side window.

So should I delete every song I would like to edit from the playlist after hearing it? It looks a bit absurd

Copy the song in other folder , then edit it.

when you say edit do you mean alter the track name and or the tag, if so then you could use mp3tag to do this and change the titles in explorer ,when wmp is closed. or play a different track so the tracks you want to alter are not in the list or enqued freeing them up for editing.

Understand, thanks.
So I see that there's no other option than eliminating it from the list either copying the to another folder. Don't know, I can understand that you can't edit a song's playing, but a song in a list.....that feels absurd.
