Help Windows problem!

Okay so i have a compaq laptop computer,i tried restoring my computer it reboots computer and when i turned it back on went blank/white screen and now i cannot use my computer it won't turn on or boot back up anyone help please?

Yes the fans and lights are coming on its the windows operating system thats broken and i don't know how to fix it

This may not be directly helpful, but...

Can you get into the laptop's BIOS setup? I think that's done with the F10 key at startup.

(The main thing that you'd learn from this is whether you have a hardware problem. If you can't get into the BIOS, things may be worse than a damaged Windows installation.)

The disk is in the tutorial Barefoot linked. Have you started with the steps yet? Keep us posted as there may be others.
