Need to see file extensions

I am running windows 7 and need to see file extensions, I go to folder options, 'view' tab, but there is no advanced settings button, only a restore defaults button.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Om, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The setting should be in the "View" tab under "Files and Folders" in Folder Options.

File Extensions - Hide or Show

Hope this helps,
Shawn
