The first thing I'd do is get that largest partition a drive letter. The one with 228 GB.

Then, use Partition Wizard to create logical partitions.

When i right click on my C drive and set as logical in partition wizard i get the following message http://i49.tinypic.com/2zjbz3d.png

Post another picture of Disk Management or Partition Wizard, showing that the drive has the C drive letter.

There is no need to make C logical.

But that space next to it that you want to make into another partition must be logical.

Whatever you do, don't say yes to "dynamic" partitions.

I can't read French, but I think everything looks OK.

What is the remaining problem?

You have System Reserved plus 3 other partitions: C, E, F.

For everyone of the monolinguals:

Go is french for Gigabyte. That will probably help your understanding of his diskmanagement display.

His "c:" drive does have a name. A system drive by any other name smells as sweet (to abuse a common saying).

fliint,
If you will follow this procedure then this may help since then the full and complete display of diskmanagement will be available.

HOW TO POST A SNAPSHOT OF DISK MANAGEMENT DISPLAY
Run disk management:
WIN |
type DISKMGMT.MSC | ENTER
This method gives you a display without the unneeded navigation pane.
WIN=key with Microsoft logo on top.

Maximize the output of Disk Management:
Maximize the output of Disk Management:
ALT-Spacebar key combo | X key (selects Maximize) |
Drag the field separators (such as between Status and Capacity) to show entire field.

Make a snapshot:
WIN |
type SNIPPING | ENTER | New
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save

Post the snapshot:

Excellent.

Can you tell what is in your E: partition?

Presently you have four primary partitions.

Have you made the Recovery Discs for your system per the manufacturer's advice?
