Windows 7: Sony Vaio VPCEB17FA BRIGHTNESS ISSUE

Hi guys,

i have Sony Vaio VPCEB17FA laptop with windows 7 professional on 64bit.
the brightness of the laptop is very glaring to eyes when the laptop is charging, i tried with F/F5 and F/F6 keys to reduce or increase, but the keys are not working.
could you please provide the solution to resolve it?

i have ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 INSTALLED.

Welcome to Seven Forums vadlamudibi.

For adjusting brightness just press F5 & F6 key's without Pressing Fun key.

If it still not work right click on the battery icon in lower right and choose
Power Options A window will popup there you can see your laptops power planes
Like 'Balanced' 'Power Saver' etc(it is good to put your laptop on Balanced).
Click on Change plane settings. There You can adjust your laptops Brightness
Eather when pc is on battery or on AC. Adjust them As you like And that's it.

Thanks for ur suggestion and it is in balance mode, but i cannot increase or decrease the brightness and i tried with only F5 and F6 but still not working.
