Windows 7: my laptop wont start

hi my laptop wont start there is a message saying, ( NDZGQ compressed)

Please confirm the message again and post back exactly how it appears verbatim. What you posted is not a known error. If your bootmgr is compressed there are additional steps needed.

yeah it comes NDZGQ compressed and then when i try to boot a cd to install a new window it says it can not boot from cd - cade 5

What kind of disk is this - a Windows 7 DVD or Repair CD? Where did you get it? Have you used it successfully before?

I asked for the exact wording of the error message you are getting. Please put it on a line by itself and proofread it before posting it back.

yeah is the one i always use to install a window and it always work just fine.

If you didn't get the word "code" correct, what other letters are being misreported? Someone would have reported the compressed file earlier but searches only come back to your thread. And Code 5 is a very old error given on old hardware which hasn't been reported since 2009.

Try writing the installer to flash stick by extracting ISO using ImgBurn, write to stick using Universal USB Installer with Windows 7 in dropdown menu. Boot stick under USB, Removable or HD's.

Where did you get Windows 7? How is it activated?

Please fill in your System Specs in bottom left corner of post. Then check if there is a newer BIOS version.

i got the windows on express download it brings the activation file everything it been working fine for about the last 7 months

What is the exact site for express download? I've never heard of that. What do you mean activation file?

Windows 7 is software which must be purchased from a valid retailer, then have it's Product Key inserted during or after install. Did you do this?

Vista came with your Inspiron. How did you acquire Windows 7 exactly?
