Deleted Public Folder And Now I Can't Install Anything

Hi, a few months ago, i deleted my public folder in my C/Users/ and now i can't install anything like Microsoft Office or Itunes , and i can't update Java or Adobe Flash Player and many more! I tried going to a restore point but none were early enough. I have a 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium Acer Aspire. I would really appreciate if someone gave me a hand Thanks!

Reinstall the OS or do a Repair install. Then do NOT delete the Public folder in the User folder. That is placed there by Windows for a purpose.

Hello Chadiwwer, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you only right clicked on and deleted the Public folder, then you might see if you may be able to just create a new C:\Users\Public folder, then restart the computer to see if the other subfolders in Public are restored after restarting the computer.

If not, then try the tutorial below to restore the others.

Well, I guess it's time for a repair install as Ed posted above then. Be sure to backup anything that you do not want to lose first just to be on the safe side.

You need to download the same version that is installed on your computer. Home or Pro or Ultimate. Look for the COA for the version that is installed.
