    search by SPEEDbit.com


    Hi,For some unknown reason this ''search by SPEEDbit.com''has got into my laptop running windows 7.I have ran malwarebytes Superantispyware with no luck.Look in google chrome settings and google shows as default.Dont even show up in add & remove programs nor revo uninstaller.Also tried options in IE it just wont go away what a pain in the rear.

    Any help Please Please.

    Yea thanks for that.I did try malwarebytes with no results and ran superantispyware and found 4 nasties in safe mode but the ''search by SPEEDbit.com'' still coming up when I open google chrome.

    My be worth downloading a decent search program, such as search everything, do a search on speed, and just delete whatever pertains to this.
    Then run CCleaner using the registry option followed by the normal Cleaner option.
    Just a thought?

    Have you done a registry search (regedit) for anything related to speedbit or its developer?

    Type regedit into the start button search box.

    Open regedit.

    Export the registry to a safe place as a safety measure, from the file menu.

    Go to the edit/find menu.

    Enter your search term and let it find the entry.

    Decide if you have the nerve to delete what you find.

    I assume speedbit does NOT appear in your list of installed programs?
