cant use Favorites bar

    cant use Favorites bar


    hey, i cant do anything with my favorites bar . what should i do?

    ive just made the new Links folder and fill some shorcuts inside it. but still i get nothing on my favorites

    You can try a system restore .. hopefully that will help you out

    this is too bad. what ive done is just upgrading from vista, and ive deleted the links folder before i get to windows 7.

    Sounds like you should back up your data and do a clean install ... your problem is a carry over from Vista, when you deleted the favorites folder...

    Hello Headshot,

    Running a sfc /scannow command may be able to restore it for you. If not, then you can create a new administrator account, copy the contents of your old user account's C:\User\(user-name) user folders into the corresponding new account's C:\User\(user-name) user folders. If everything checks out ok, then you can delete the old user account from within the new account.

    hey shawn, how do i transfer files from old user acc to new user acc? do i need external device like usb flash disk?

    While you are logged on to one of the users accounts, you would just manually copy the folder contents to the other account's user folders in Windows Explorer. I would open two windows to make copying and pasting easier to do though. :)
